On the last month, which is July, I had both a fun month and a bad month. Why? Fun because Mr Rizal, a teacher on probation, came to teach us for three weeks and we had lots of fun, all in all.
But why did I say I also had a bad month? It was because when it was the last day Mr Rizal was going to teach us and had a surprise party, I was disappointed that many of us were not included in the surprise and were chased out by our own fellow classmates. I understand that it was on good intentions, but firstly, if it was a CLASS surprise party, why wasn't the whole class in it ? And secondly, if majority of us are standing outside the classroom waiting to go in, wouldn't it create a scene and Mr Rizal would know a bunch of classmates who are inside the classroom are up to something ?
This is just one of the reasons why I had a bad month. The second reason was that I found out that my group was cheating. Teachers always remind us to display the Elias core values, and I think that they (my group) overlooked Integrity. On the last day of July, I stood up against my group to tell the truth of them cheating, but with the fear that my team mates would be angry at me. Many groups also stood up against them, (using ‘them’ as I wasn’t the one cheating.) giving evidence that they cheated. I did not understand why everyone wanted to win so badly. The prize was just a LEGO item, at most a figurine. Well, about the fame, no one in this class actually even bothers about it. You just win and that’s it. No one bothers! They don’t care whether you win or not. I think part of the reason Mr Wan gave the title ‘Group of the Month’ is because he wanted us to be active in class and make us work with others with different characters, and he hoped that we shown teamwork. His intention was good, but I think everyone is taking it too seriously, resulting in arguments in groups and cheating. We should have fun and we ought to be honest.
I hope at least half the class will understand my feelings on how others take it too seriously, then resulting into using dirty methods to win. Let’s say you’re playing soccer, and you want to win badly, but the ball is at your opponent’s team, so you rush up to the person with the ball and kicks his legs and he falls, then you get the ball, but then later you got a penalty for kicking your opponent, and when your opponent gets back the ball, wouldn’t you be thinking that you wish you had not kicked your opponent, but instead getting the ball in the right way and then aim to score?
P.S: Sorry but I’m not sure how soccer exactly works. I don’t play soccer.

Hi 5 lydia. I was thinking the same thing. I feel if you aren't with a group that you care about and won the title group of the month, you have no one to share the happiness with. I wanted to be group of the month because I want to show all those groups that are too proud of themselves that don't look down on people. you never know if they can win the victory. I also cared about my new group members.it feels like: I hate my group members! so why bother working with them? OH! because of the title group of the month! ok! I will act as though I care about them!" that is the wrong attitude! I wrote all these things in my journal and got published too. thee SUPER LONG journal.(:
Just remember: Winning isn't everything. Be a humble winner and a gracious loser.

Nah, I wasn't complaining. I just sometimes wonder why they acted like that. And I hate winning the group of the month.

eh then one time andrew was like very suspicious... mr rizal call us to minus points.. actually score is something six something..., 060, then he go put until 080.. then i was like u minus or plus arh? then he say minus lar then i say it is 060 just now.. then he say oh ok then he nvr change but i l8r go n change then we MT that time.. andrew all ways rush out of class first rite? then that day he was like staying back.. arh... then the next day omg it was 160.. ( e.g. last ime 060 mah) then i was like forget yesterday score but i new not that much. then i decided to tell mr wan if we won .. but he did not understand that day.. coz i nvr say properly.... LOL but iam happy esmond's grp won bcoz i new that they won with integrity.. hey btw every time andrew n ivan very suspicious.. wink here wink there.. but i know that is my responsibility to make sure the group is erm.. let say alright.. sorry ...
